Multiple Objective Control Problems via Nonsmooth Analysis

چکیده
A control system design problem involves making trade-offs among multiple competing objectives. This paper studies two multiple objective control problems via nonsmooth analysis. First, a new minimax solution approach to the multiple objective linear-quadratic optimal control problem is presented. The solution to this problem is characterized by a set of coupled Riccati equations. Second, the solution to the SISO multi-disk H1 control problem is pursued. Optimality conditions, and, in special cases, either all-pass properties or optimal performance values are obtained.

Benson's algorithm for nonconvex multiobjective problems via nonsmooth Wolfe duality
In this paper, we propose an algorithm to obtain an approximation set of the (weakly) nondominated points of nonsmooth multiobjective optimization problems with equality and inequality constraints. We use an extension of the Wolfe duality to construct the separating hyperplane in Benson's outer algorithm for multiobjective programming problems with subdifferentiable functions. We also fo...
متن کاملAnti-windup design via nonsmooth multi-objective H∞ optimization
This paper investigates constrained control design problems involving mixed magnitude and rate saturations. We show that simultaneous design of structured feedback and antiwindup gains can be recast as minimizing two H∞-norm objectives. One is associated with nominal system operation while the other also captures the saturations effects. Because of the two-block structure of the controller, the...
متن کاملOn Sequential Optimality Conditions without Constraint Qualifications for Nonlinear Programming with Nonsmooth Convex Objective Functions
Sequential optimality conditions provide adequate theoretical tools to justify stopping criteria for nonlinear programming solvers. Here, nonsmooth approximate gradient projection and complementary approximate Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions are presented. These sequential optimality conditions are satisfied by local minimizers of optimization problems independently of the fulfillment of constrai...
متن کاملEmerging Directions in Bifurcation Control
In this chapter, we present some emerging directions in bifurcation control in continuous-time dynamical systems. Specifically we discuss two unconventional bifurcation control problems: anti-control of bifurcations and nonsmooth bifurcation control. Anti-control of bifurcation means introducing a new bifurcation at desired location with preferred properties by appropriate control. Nonsmooth bi...
متن کاملAn efficient one-layer recurrent neural network for solving a class of nonsmooth optimization problems
Constrained optimization problems have a wide range of applications in science, economics, and engineering. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed to solve a class of nonsmooth constrained optimization problems with a nonsmooth convex objective function subject to nonlinear inequality and affine equality constraints. It is a one-layer non-penalty recurrent neural network based on the...
